Suitable for

Skiers and splitboarders with excellent downhill technique on-piste and off-piste. It's required to have at least one season of experience with ski mountaineering tours of +1200 m and BS level.

Tour highlights

The weekend will be organized in the marvelous scenario of the Monte Rosa massif and you'll be assisted by UIAGM-certified Alpine Guides
The course is planned so that there will be maximum 6 participants for every guide, in order to guarantee top-quality teaching
The intensive programme is suitable for skimountaineers and splitboarder with a certain experience but little time available, who want to learn how to make a mid-high level (OS) excursion with skitouring skis or splitboards safely and independently
You'll analyze, learn and practice the techniques, the fastening and safety manouvers to face a glacier excursion responsibly during the two excursions
You'll learn more about the use of harness, rope, crampons and ice axe as well as other *safety glacier equipment
With your Alpine Guide, you'll analyze all the types of snow you'll find and the related risk factors.
You will simulate an emergency situation on glacier, learning manouvers like anchoring on the snow and crevasse recovery strategies.
You'll live an authentic and fulfilling ski mountaineering or splitboarding weekend with overnight stay in a mountain hut.
The intensive advanced course will be on terrain and snow suitable for the goals of the course: a bit more technical, but greatly satisfying!
