Suitable for anyone who wants to reach a 4000m summit for the first time in their life, in good health and capable of approximately 3-4 hours of uphill walking. No mountaineering experience is required, but good leg strength and stamina are necessary.
Tour type
Mountaineering summit climb with expert Alpine Guides and cable-cars tickets. Optional overnight stay in a mountain hut (for the 2 days tour).
- The Western Breithorn summit climb (4.165 m.), one of the easiest ascents of the Alps, yet a true mountaineering experience: a steep ascent with a great altitude gain.
- An unique view over the mighty Matterhorn and the Monte Rosa (Signalkuppe) peaks, which seem just at your fingertips!
- A great mountaineering adventure with an expert Alpine Guide to the discovery of the glaciers of the Western Alps.
- Suitable for both mountaineers and fit and healthy individuals who want to reach a 4000m summit for the first time.
- On request, add an extra overnight stay at the Rifugio Guide del Cervino at Plateau Rosa to acclimatize.
Day 1
Arrival in Cervinia, ascent by cable car to Plateau Rosà - climb to the summit of Breithorn, descent
- Certified English speaking Alpine Guide and their expenses for 1 day (other languages available on request)
- Cable cars tickets, round trip Cervinia - Plateau Rosà
- Shared mountaineering equipment (rope and other safety gear)
- Transfers to/from the start/end point of the tour
- Personal clothing (see advice and recommendations) and mountaineering boots (mandatory)
- Personal sleeping bag liner for the overnight stay in the refuge
- Personal mountaineering equipment (harness, crampons, ice axe)
- Anything not listed in the “Included” section
