Experienced hikers without cardiovascular or respiratory issues, accustomed to walking 7-8 hours a day with ascents and descents of +/- 1500 meters on mountain trails. While no specific mountaineering experience is required, a good fitness level and stamina are necessary.
Tour type
Mountaineering summit climb with an expert Alpine Guide, cable car tickets and overnight stay in a cozy mountain hut.
- The alpine climb of Monte Rosa (4.554 m) : enjoy a true immersion in an unspoilt, unique landscape.
- 2 or 3 days mountaineering tour, accompanied by an expert Alpine Guide to reach Signalkuppe and Capanna Margherita Hut, Europe’s highest mountain hut.
- Overnight stay in the cozy Rifugio Gnifetti or Rifugio Mantova mountain huts, to enjoy the Alpine hospitality and traditional cuisine.
Day 1
Arrival in Staffal or Alagna, cable car to Punta Indren and hike to Mantova or Gnifetti mountain huts
Day 2
Climb to Punta Gnifetti on the massif of Monte Rosa and Capanna Margherita mountain hut; descent back to Punta Indren and cable car to Staffal/Alagna
Monte Rosa - Rifugio Gnifetti / Rifugio Mantova - dormitory or room with 4/6 beds
- 2 days with a certified, English-speaking Alpine Guide and their expenses (other languages available on request)
- 1 overnight stay in a mountain hut
- Round-trip ticket for the MonteRosaSki cable car, Staffal (or Alagna)/Punta Indren
- Meals as indicated in the program (drinks not included for dinner)
- Shared mountaineering equipment (rope and safety materials)
- Travel insurance policy by UnipolSai (more info ⟶)
- Transfers to/from the start/end point of the tour
- Meals not indicated and beverages, except tea and coffee for included breakfasts
- Personal clothing and climbing boots (required)
- Sleeping bag liner for overnight stays in mountain huts
