Suitable for skiiers and snowboarders with experience in off-piste, good fitness level and capable to cover +400m. altitude gap the first day and +900 the second.
The ascent and descent are not particularly technical but you will walk roped on the glacier.

Tour type
Ski tour with overnight stay in a mountain hut, accompanied by a UIAGM certified Apine Guide.
- A two-day ski touring or splitboarding tour with a certified Alpine Guide, diving in the breathtaking scenery of the Monte Rosa 4,000-meter peaks.
- Ascent to Punta Gnifetti (Signalkuppe - 4,554 m), home to Capanna Margherita, the highest mountain hut in Europe.
- On the first day, optional ski mountaineering ascent of an easier 4,000-meter peak on the Monte Rosa massif for acclimatization.
- Experience the freedom and grandeur that this Alpine giant offers, breathing the rarefied air at 4,000 meters, while improving your glacier ski mountaineering skills.
- If snow conditions permit, you can enjoy a 3,000-meter descent from the Monte Rosa summit directly to Gressoney, the starting/ending point.
- You’ll have the opportunity to improve your skiing and rope descending technique and perfect the use of ARTVA, shovel ad probe and environmental awareness with guidance from expert Alpine Guides.
- The descent options will vary based on the participants' physical and technical abilities, ensuring a customized experience.
Day 1
Meeting with the guide in Gressoney Staffal, cable car to Punta Indren and ski tour to Rifugio Gnifetti mountain hut
Day 2
Monte Rosa summit climb and descent back to Gressoney Staffal, departure
Monte Rosa - Rifugio Gnifetti / Rifugio Mantova - dormitory or room with 4/6 beds
- 2 days with a certified, English-speaking Alpine Guide and their expenses (other languages available on request)
- 1 overnight stay in a mountain hut
- Round-trip ticket for the MonteRosaSki cable car, Staffal/Alagna
- Meals as indicated in the program (drinks not included for dinner)
- Travel insurance policy by UnipolSai (more info ⟶)
- Shared mountaineering equipment (rope and various carabiners)
- Transfers to/from the starting point
- Meals not indicated and beverages, except tea and coffee for included breakfasts
- Personal skitouring equipment and clothing
- Sleeping bag liner for overnight stays in mountain huts
- Rental of climbing equipment (harness, crampons, ice axe and ARVA safety kit)
